The Club vehicle is equipped to carry 1 passenger and a bike. Those who make use of this service are asked to please assist the driver by 
securing their bike themselves and removing it when they arrive back at the club. This will allow the return trips to be as efficient as possible.

All Club Members are reminded that the Saturday Club rides are the Official Cycle Lab Club rides for which it is a requirement 
that all members must wear the official CLUB KIT and up to date ICE ID bracelet, for continuous support.

Week 5

CLUB RIDES 01st Feb:

Southern rides from Mugg & Bean Constantia Village

Start time: 6.00 am

Please arrive 15 mins earlier for your ride and wear your club kit.

Please select a group that you are capable of riding with before departing.
Do not choose a group that you are slower or stronger than, as this will interfere with the average speed of the group.
Group size – Groups should be no more than 15 riders.


LONG ROUTE – approx. 109km.
Mugg & Bean – Spaanschmat – Ladies Mile – main road – fish hoek - Left on to Glencairn – and on to Cape Point Gate – following the CTCT route to Misty Cliffs – on to Slangkop Road, but carrying on with Witsands Road to Kommetjie
Kommetjie – 4 ways in Noordhoek – left to ChappiesTurn at the top of Chappies – back to Fish Hoek via Sun Valley Fish Hoek back to CV via Main road – Raapkraal – Sea Breeze – Lente – Tokai Main Road – Orpen Road – Firgrove – Ladies Mile – Spaanschmat

Medium - approx 85 km
Club - Simons town - Cape Point - Misty Cliffs - Ocean View - Sun Valley – top of Chapmans Peak – TURN - Noordhoek - Fish Hoek - Club

SHORT ROUTE - approx.48 km
Club - Main Road - Fish Hoek - Simonstown - Millers Point – TURN - back to club via Main road - M&B


Next Mugg and Bean & Cycle Lab Safe Cycle Rides: 8th February

Registration for rides with your special QR code.

There will be a 40km and 80km ride, starting and ending at Mugg and Bean Constantia Village.
Please note that you will need to maintain an average speed of about 20km/h to complete the 40km ride in time, and about 26km/h to complete the 80km ride.

We welcome newcomers and intermediate level road riders.

CWC/CLA rides – 68km (two groups 24/25kph and 28/29ph )
All welcome that can ride the distance at those average speeds

CWC – Old Oak rd towards Kuilsriver – left M23 Bottelary rd – pass Kuilsriver Golf Course – left @ R304 Klipheuwel – continue straight – left @ R302 Klipheuwel rd
– right into M13 Racecourse rd - left into M31 Tygervalley rd – continue towards traffic lights @ Old Oak rd – turn right to CWC.
